Summary
The aim of the course is to enhance students' theoretical knowledge in the fields of engineering surveys, use of diagnostic methods and evaluation of buildings. Students will be gradually introduced to issues impairments, which can be in different types of structures to diagnose.
In the first part of the course students will be familiar with the defects and failures of structures. Another part will be devoted to testing methods and methodological procedures that lead to the identification of specific causes of defects or failures.
