Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
Define, description a recognize and interpretation of merit of individual building materials, known and explain the technology and utilization limits (testing of quality, corrosion, durability) of individual materials in building construction. Make a design of experiments, testing procedures and summarization of this knowledge for industrial application.

Summary
The properties of building materials. Management systems, securing the quality
of building materials. Raw materials and secondery raw materials, recycling.
Ceramic material and metals. Classical binders. Concrete properties and
composite materials. Composites and fibre composites. Polymercement mortars and
concrete. Special building materials and durability of building materials.
