Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The aim of this course is to acquaint students with the basic structure and content of underground construction, its ties to the disciplines of construction completed, the geotechnical and science character.Education will be conducted so that students understand the basic principles of construction of underground works, he could apply those principles into practice and has obtained sufficient experience for employees construction management in a complex natural environment by analyzing the knowledge of that environment.

1st The importance of the underground construction of civilization and addressing environmental challenges history and development of underground structures.
2nd Distribution of underground structures, tunnels, the design parameters, the IG investigation and classification systems.
3rd Mined underground construction, disposal, mikrotunelling; more methods.
4th Conventional excavation methods.
5th Excavation of caverns, excavated underground construction.
6th NATM - theory and practice.
7th Reinforcement of underground construction, design and implementation.
8th Ventilation of underground structures, lighting.
9th Dewatering of underground buildings, waterproofing.
10th Reconstruction of underground structures, building diagnostics.
11th Monitoring of underground construction.
12th Organization and safety in underground construction.
13th Effects of tunneling to the surface.
14th Presentation of practitioners, the risks of underground structures and funding.
