Summary
The content of the diploma seminar is the familiarization of students with the required general structure and principles of the processing of the diploma thesis, including the method of processing the research part of the diploma thesis and citation references. The subject is further focused on the elaboration of selected parts of the thesis, requiring specific tests to evaluate the properties of geomateriálů, specific methods of exploration and numerical procedures of modelling or use of specialized software. The student processes the results obtained in the form of a text report related to the thesis theme.

Structure of the Diploma thesis and principles of its processing
Bibliographic citation
Specific laboratory and field tests to evaluate the characteristics of geomaterials focusing on the determination of objective
characteristics of geomaterials
Selected aspects of numerical modelling methods (especially with regard to 3D modelling)
Selected aspects of working with specialized software (specialized geotechnical, visualization, evaluation software)
Methodology for analysis of results, including statistical evaluation
