Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The goal is the formulation, explanation, understanding and analysis of theoretical foundations of rock and soil mechanics and methods of solving stress-strain state rock environment. Students completing this course should be able to apply these basic theoretical knowledge in solving practical problems geomechanics, to formulate a theoretical basis for the practical problem define the basic determinants of the problem and evaluate their role in address the problem, formulate the requirements for quality and quantity determination determining the properties of geological environment and also critically compare the theoretical assumptions with practical reality.

Summary

Předmět se zabývá teoretickými základy geomechaniky, vlastnostmi horninového prostředí, jeho napěťo-přetvárným chováním a faktory, které ovlivňují mechanické projevy horninového prostředí. Obsahem předmětu je problematika popisných a fyzikálních vlastností zemin a hornin, problematika proudění vody zeminami, napětí v zemním tělese (od vlastní tíhy i od vnějšího přitížení), konsolidace zemin,součástí předmětu jsou základní rovnice teorie mechaniky kontinua, teorie reologického modelování, konstitutivní modely pro vyjádření chování různých typů horninového prostředí. Součástí výuky jsou rovněž základní principy matematického a fyzikálního modelování a možnosti jejich využití při řešení praktických úloh.
