Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The content of the subject is the issue of specific geomaterials arising from the targeted modification of the properties of rocks and soils in geotechnical practice. Particular attention is paid to composite materials resulting from the injection of silicate and polymeric media into soils, damaged rocks or building structures. The classification system of basic composite structures, their unique material properties, experimental procedures and analytical laboratory methods for their testing and in situ prediction are presented. Another important group of modified geomaterials are materials based on lime stabilized soils, cements and byproducts
