Subject syllabus:
Syllabus of lecture:
1. Basic concepts. Causes of failures of building constructions. Demolitions in general, division.
2. Demolition of building constructions technological principles. Demolition of vertical bearing and non-bearing brick structures. Provisional and definitive securing the wall during demolition.
3. Creation and expansion of holes in brick walls. Provisional and definitive securing the wall for creation and expansion of holes.
4. Defects and failures of brick constructions. Causes of cracks in brick walls due to uneven settlement of foundations, insufficient spatial stiffness of the building, overloading the construction, dynamic effects of natural and technical seismicity.
5. Causes of cracks in brick walls due to shrinkage and creep of masonry, effect of thermal influences, effects of undermining. Temporary redevelopment of cracks in bearing brick walls.
6. Permanent redevelopment of cracks in bearing brick walls bonding, grouting, stitching, encasement and gunning of masonry, finishing masonry using steel draw bars.
7. Permanent redevelopment of cracks in bearing brick walls tensioning of masonry using steel die-formed strands, fixation of masonry using high-strength steel members, fixation of masonry using modern materials (glass, carbon and aramid fibers, bars and lamellas.
8. Cracks in brick columns and pillars and their redevelopment. Replacement of columns and pillars. Cracks in partitions.
9. Failures in wooden constructions of ceilings and roof trusses causes, division. Biotic beetle (wet rot, mould, woodworm fungi, and woodworm insects). Wood damage by non-biological influences.
10. Redevelopment, reparation and reconstruction of wooden ceilings and roof trusses.
11. Disposal of woodworm fungi and woodworm insects. Direct and indirect strengthening of individual elements.
