Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the course is to acquire basic knowledge of the field of the substructure to the action of water pressure, gravitational water and ground moisture the objects of building construction (residential, civil construction equipment, industrial and agricultural buildings). And both in terms of the design of the substructure waterproofing in new buildings, as well as from the perspective of designing additional wet masonry building at the bottom of the existing buildings.

Summary

Subject syllabus:

The course provides an overview of how the hydro stress substructures. When it comes to designing the substructure waterproofing in new buildings, they are included here: Possible direct and indirect waterproofing principles of the substructure, a treatise on basic waterproofing material basis for the substructure (asphalt belts and polymer film) principles for the design of the substructure waterproofing, design principles of the details (penetrations, counters waterproofing, expansion joints) options for solving systems of waterproofing against pressurized water. When it comes to designing additional wet masonry at the bottom of the building on existing structures, then it is dealt on the issue of diagnosis of damp walls and basic and complementary methods of remediation excessively wet masonry.
