Subject syllabus:
The two-day excursion.
First day
- Arrival to Prague , accommodation
- Meeting at the statue of TG Masaryk at Hradcany Square ( by time of arrival around 11:30)
- Tour of Prague Castle with commentary on the work of Josip Plecnik and Otto Rothmayer , south of the Castle gardens and new construction after 1989 ( COMPETITIONS : Deer Moat, a tunnel under the Powder Bridge , Jiřičná: Orangery )
- Tour of the exhibition of architecture, engineering and design at the National Technical Museum (David Vavra ) and other new exhibitions (admission 50 CZK needed ISIC student card )
- Interpretation of the urban area Dejvice and technical colleges
- Walk to the new building of the Faculty of Architecture CTU ( Šrámková ) with commentary
- Tour of the new National Technical Library building in the neighborhood (Studio Projectile )
- Walk around the exhibition with commentary Baba
- Walk through a residential area with the interpretation Ořechovka ( Janak, Novotny, Vondrak )
Second day
- Interpretation of the urban city of New Prague , new buildings on the square and around
- Walk to the bridge, reconstruction of the examples of modern buildings ( Šrámková - CKD, Maj department store ), built in Franciscan Garden ( Chiefs )
- Move to the center of Karlin , a tour of new office buildings ( Bofill , Corso Karlin, ADNS ...)
- Guided tour of Villa Muller (Adolf Loos) - student entrance fee of CZK 100
- Tour Rothmayer villas with their own interpretation
