Obtaining broad knowledge in the architectural composition. Understanding the basic concepts of composition based on analyzes of surface , space and color compositions in historical and contemporary architecture . Apply knowledge gained in courses studio work.

Architecture, asymmetry, gradation, harmonization, category, contrast, scale, nuances, proportion, rhythm, compositional elements, symmetry, perception, expression.

At least 70% attendance at the exercises. Absence, up to a maximum of 30%, must be excused and the apology must be accepted by the teacher (the teacher decides if he accept the reason for the excuse). Tasks assigned on the exercises must be hand in within the dates set by the teacher.

1) Introduction to architectural composition 2) Man dimension module 3) The concept of architectural design and composition 4) Symmetry, its types 5) Asymmetry, chaos 6) Contrast and its patterns , nuances 7) rhythm 8) Proportion, proportional relationships 9) Proportion, proportional analysis 10) Scale and size 11) Gradation and degree of the scale 12) Light and shadow, optical sensations 13) Colour and space 14) Concluding summary and discussion of issues Exercise: 1) Understanding the basics of architectural composition 2) Examples of surface, color composition and spatial architecture of the historic 3) Examples of surface, spatial and color composition in contemporary architecture 4 to 7) Search and naming compositional principles in practice 8 to 13) Term labor and consultation 14) Credit
