Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
Interpretation of lectures and exercises is focused on ways of protecting historical buildings, their conversion, rehabilitation and maintenance. At the same time, the aim is to talk about the ways of creation in the historical environment during history and now.

Summary
Contemporary creation in the historical environment cannot be seen as a problem only in recent years.
At each historical stage, architects worked in a historic setting. It is necessary to understand the core of this topic timelessly.

Subject syllabus:
1. Introduction - Basic terms (cultural monument, national cultural monument, UNESCO monument, Central List of Cultural Monuments of the Czech Republic, movable / immovable cultural monuments, protected areas protection zone / zone / reservation) Charter. Methodology of cultural monument renewal and its development.
2. Contemporary creation in the historical environment during history
3. Ways of architectural creation in historical environment
4. Contemporary creation in the historical environment in the Czech Republic
5. Contemporary creation in the historical environment in Europe
6. Contemporary creation in the historical environment in the world
7. Building-historical surveys of historical buildings and their evaluation
8. Building-technical surveys of historical buildings and their evaluation
9. Historical objects according to individual categories and their peculiarities (fortification-sacral-people-urban-urban-industrial-technical)
10. Typology of historical buildings, division of historical buildings according to various criteria
11. Historical urbanism - character, silhouette, vista, landmark, urban spaces incl. surfaces and furniture.
12. New and renewed reversible methods in the field of reconstruction of historical buildings, conceptual and technological limits of using imitations. Memory Parameter Monitoring objects. Examples and analyzes of some typical implementations
13. Restoration approach in restoration of artistic artefacts and interiors of historical buildings
