Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The aim of the course is to prepare students for their future profession from the point of view of the necessary knowledge of the relevant legislation, which is a necessary part of highly professional work of the architect.

Lectures
Summary
Within the framework of the Architects Legislation, students will be systematically clarified basic information on the applicable law, on the basis of building management at the work of the building authorities and their synergies, and on the legal aspects of the work on the construction works. Furthermore, the issues of the legal possibilities for designers' behavior in the employment relationship in project organizations will be addressed, and students will also explain how legal behaviors as employers are in the position of conducting their own design studios.

Subject syllabus:
1. Act No. 360/1992 Coll., On the pursuit of the profession of authorized architects and the practice of authorized engineers and technicians in construction, as amended (CS)
2. Selected subjects of building law: land-use planning, land management, building management, building approval, building authority system, co-operating bodies in construction management.
3. Environmental protection in the building law and implementing regulations.
Protection of aquatic air, nature and landscape, agricultural and forest land resources.
4. Competition, public procurement, architectural competitions.
5. Contracts in accordance with the Civil and Commercial Code used in the construction and design of buildings.
6. Selected topics of labor law: creation, change, termination of labor-law relationship, forms of work agreements and other possibilities of employing workers.
7. Act on profession of authorized architects, analysis of legislation, chamber regulations.
