Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim is to give students basic information about the problems of railway stations and junctions, with an emphasis on building part. After graduating student can describe and solve basic problems in design, construction, maintenance, reconstruction and modernization of buildings of railway stations and Railway Centre. Students will formulate a basic skill problems, build basic design, applying knowledge and skills in solving basic problems of the problems of building Railway Stations and Railway Centre, namely the superstructure, point svitch structure, substructure, including related structures, etc. Teaching in Czech Language only

Summary

Designing; inclination ratio; direction ratio; construction elements; ribbon rails; railway superstructure and substructure; drainage; tracks; rail switches; switch connections; switch track; gridiron; passenger station; storage yard; formation yard; hump yard; spur tracks; track systems of industrial plants; structures of railway equipments; platforms; platform subways; overhead-crossings; pedestrian overpaths; platform shelters; passenger buildings; storage; garbage dumps; construction facility of locomotive economy; automatic block system; stations in specific conditions.
