Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with problems of railway construction and to practice the acquired knowledge and skills. Students will acquire basic knowledge in designing, building and diagnostics of railway construction. Passing the student will be able to describe and solve basic problems such as tracing, construction of the superstructure, design of sleeper beds, proposals related structures such as drainage structures etc. Gets ability to formulate problems, to build an elementary design, apply knowledge and skills to solve simple problems in the field of railway construction. Summary

In individual lessons Railway Structures subject the student with an introduction to railway lines, railway. stations and sidings, railway problems of diagnostics and provides students the basics of the technological processes work on railways. Students are gradually introduced to the basic concepts in the field of railway construction, with design elements of the superstructure, alas. substructure, sleeper subsoil drainage, turnouts and crossing structures, with elements of construction equipment, railway stations, the building high-speed lines and elements of the modernization of railways. In this course the student is also familiar with the basic issues related to building railways in special conditions - effects of mining activities in flood area.

At least 70% attendance at the exercises. Absence, up to a maximum of 30%, must be excused and the apology must be accepted by the teacher (the teacher decides to recognize the reason for the excuse). Tasks assigned on the exercises must be hand in within the dates set by the teacher.

Subject syllabus:

Lectures: -Introduction to railway construction (lines, equipment, vehicle, traction) design principles of railway tracks. Line resistances and resistances driving vehicles line of constant resistance -Construction and geometric arrangement of tracks (track, direction and leaning ratios), the spatial arrangement of the track (gauge, the distance axis tracks axes crossing distance tracks, distances of buildings from the wheel axis., spatial CSN arrangement on bridges ...) Construction-track ... -Switches and crossings (basic concepts, points for VRT, rail intersection, ...) -Substructure (roadbed construction, design principles, building substructure, drainage ...) -Crossing railway tracks with roads, water courses and lines, unfortunately. crossings, track equipment -Personal, and lay-sorting station (purpose, distribution, equipment, ...), the main Hills sorting station (principles, technical and construction equipment humps, Automation KOMPAS). Railway-building equipment (platforms, subways, footbridge, footbridges, the platform shelters, station building, přednádraží, warehouses, landfills ...) Track-industrial plants (purpose, location, types, equipment, ..) -Rail transport in urban areas, construction of trails, building blocks -Preparation of construction (pre-production stage, documents, legislation ....) Track-work (classification, machinery ...), technology, repairs of the railway superstructure and substructure -Diagnosis of railways Railway-building in special conditions (area affected by mining activities construction in flood plains ...) -Railway network, increasing speed on railways, modernization railway network in the CR Exercise: - Calculation of elements such as circular arcs motive rail route calculation elements transition curve, detailed calculation points routes, horizontal and vertical solutions, structural design of the superstructure, reports superstructure, assembly plans, numerical and graphical solution of a sequence of tracks, Solution transition of different spacing of rails, switches, transformation points, Rail connections - JKS proposal in direct, bottom rail - the principles of design, design sleeper subsoil - Characteristic cross-section of single track (double-track tracks) - design, processing and presentation of selected articles from the railway issues
