Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

To acquaint students with software products serving the design work, with traffic-engineering data, etc. Students will acquire basic skills to formulate problems, to form a basic design, apply knowledge and skills in solving elementary problems of the transport problems of transport structures and the use of selected software products.

At least 70% attendance at the exercises. Absence, up to a maximum of 30%, must be excused and the apology must be accepted by the teacher (the teacher decides to recognize the reason for the excuse). - Introduction to the course - Civil 3D - introduction to the AutoCAD software for advanced design of road construction - 1st program (Civil 3D) - AutoTURN - introduction to the software - 2nd program (AutoTURN) - TORUS - introduction to the software for roundabouts designing - 3rd program (Torus) - ParkCAD - designing the software for the sophisticated design of parking areas for vehicles - 4th program (ParkCAD) - Edip-KA - introduction to the software for assessing of the intersection capacity - 5th program (Edip-KA) - PTV VISSIM - introduction to the software for modeling of traffic flow - 6th program (PTV VISSIM) - Granting of credit, reserve - introduction to the other software
