Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The subject provides the basic knowledge and skills in the field of terminology rail infrastructure also will learn the basics of calculations theme routes for rail vehicles, namely: Elements arcs, spirals and vzestupnic, detailed calculations of the waypoints, horizontal and vertical solutions, designing railway construction superstructure, transform switches, designing rail connections and gain basic skills application of knowledge from previously completed courses in design sleeper subsoil.

Summary

The course "Railway Infrastructure" introduces Students to basic Concepts in the area of Transport Routes for Railway Vehicles, especially Railway Tracks, Railway Stations, Railway Sidings, Tram Tracks., and Then the basic issues in Rail Safety Security features and Construction for Security of the Railway Traffic.

Other requirements

At least 70% attendance at the exercises. Absence, up to a maximum of 30%, must be excused and the apology must be accepted by the teacher (the teacher decides to recognize the reason for the excuse). Tasks assigned on the exercises must be hand in within the dates set by the teacher. Individual complement lectures by self study of recommended literature.

- Introduction to the subject (history, rolling stock, traction ..) - Tracks and equipment, basic structural elements of railway track - Switches and turnout structures - Safety equipment and construction solutions - Railway infrastructure for urban transport - Railway yard industrial plants (purpose, location, amenities, ..) - Substructure (railway construction. Substructure, drainage ...) - Railway station (purpose, distribution, equipment) - Rail infrastructure and personal storage stations - Infrastructure sorting station, the main sorting station Hills, engineering and construction equipment humps, automation - Objects of railway equipment (platforms, underpasses, overpasses, bridges, station buildings, the, warehouse, dump ...) - Railway nodes (history, purpose, location, equipment) - Safety in rail transport - Rail network, increasing speed on railway lines, railway modernization in Czech Republic
