Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students will become familiar with the problems of traffic engineering, traffic surveys, regression and correlation analysis, time series analysis, video analysis of conflict situations and traffic accident rates.

Summary

Subject to give students the problem of traffic engineering, as well acquainted with traffic surveys and evaluations with the issue of dependency of measurement, ie, regression and correlation analysis, analysis of time series suitable for predicting transport. The second part of the course is devoted to video analysis of conflict situations and traffic accidents.

At least 70% attendance at the exercises. Absence, up to a maximum of 30%, must be excused and the apology must be accepted by the teacher (the teacher decides to recognize the reason for the excuse). Tasks assigned on the exercises must be hand in within the dates set by the teacher.

Introduction to Transportation Engineering. Basic terms. Traffic surveys. Roads. Distribution of road vehicles. Traffic calming. Traffic accidents. Traffic psychology. Video analysis of conflict situations. Prognosis of transport.. Intersections. Pedestrian traffic. Cycling. Parking.
