Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Alumni of the object adventitious elementary knowledges from problems environmentally aspect transport, which them enables the orientation in given problems.

Summary

This object what perhaps complexly covers today so many discussed problems of the transport in relations to the health man and the living environment. The emphasis is laying especially on problems issue (combustion, no-combustion, noise) rising at operation vehicles and which shall they dollar gap shortage effects cheers man, further then on problems of the tenable transport and the legislative tools. Attention is presentation possible procurations, leadership to modulation the negative effects transport. Standpoints practical application will demonstration exhaust-emission measurement and data processing for calculation emissive factor, instance metering pollutants round communication, reading and utilize adventitious data. Teaching is in Czech language only.

At least 70% attendance at the exercises. Absence, up to a maximum of 30%, must be excused and the apology must be accepted by the teacher (the teacher decides to recognize the reason for the excuse). Tasks assigned on the exercises must be hand in within the dates set by the teacher.

Lectures • Transportation and its role in society • Energy and raw material intensity of transport • Economic aspects of transport • Social aspects of transport • Adverse impacts of transport on the environment • Health risks of transport • Possibilities to mitigate the negative impacts of transport • Sustainable development and transport • Strategy of corporate environmental policy • Legislative instruments and government on the impact of transport and environment • Transport Research in CR and EU • Information systems for environment and transport • • Methods of analysis of pollutants, processing and interpretation of data obtained • Preparation and presentation of term paper Exercises • Modelling of transport emissions and air pollution • Measurement of chemical emissions and air pollution • Measurement and modeling of acoustic emission • Assessing the impact of linear structures on the environment (EIA, SEA) • Determination of the toxicity and genotoxicity of pollutants produced by transport • Requirements for the design and manufacture of vehicle fuels from an environmental point of view
