Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students will learn the fundamentals of designing railway stations, railway staging and major rail hubs, with structural elements of the superstructure and substructure in railway stations, including drainage structures and safety devices. Out the project the student will formulate skill problems, build design solutions, applying knowledge and skills in solving the problems of construction of rail transport.

Summary

Introduction to basic terms and legislation with the principles of designing railway. stations, construction elements such as superstructure, bottom rail, sleeper and ground stations in výhybnách, drainage ž. stations, turnouts and switches links, security system in railways stations. Furthermore, with the purpose of dividing and holding yard and passenger station facilities, lay station, sorting station, the main shunting gradient of sorting station, automation shunting gradient KOMPAS. The course also deals with the solution yards industrial plants (purpose, location, types, division, track system layout, equipment, construction of railway device (platforms, subways, footbridge, footbridges, shelters the platform, the station building, areas front of the station, warehouses, landfills), construction equipment for the locomotive and rolling stock holding design and implementation of railway. stations in the special conditions (effects of mining activities in the flood areas).
