Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students acquaint with modern method from traffic engineering used for design of roads, intersections and other transport constructions, with problem of their capacity assessment, analysis of conflict situations, automated collection of traffic engineering data etc. They also acquaint with modeling of traffic of vehicles and pedestrians in common conditions and also in non-standard situations and its influence for nearby and neighboring traffic net.

Summary

The subject is focus on modern method from traffic engineering used for design of roads, intersections and other transport constructions. Students acquaint with problem of their capacity assessment, analysis of conflict situations, automated collection of traffic engineering data and also using of drones for this research course of study. They also acquaint with modeling of traffic of vehicles and pedestrians in common conditions and also in non-standard situations (e.g. mass abandonment of areas and buildings after sports and cultural events, evacuations etc.) and its influence for nearby and neighboring traffic net. Students will also learn to use advanced statistical and prognosis method applied to traffic engineering and also modern simulation methods.
