Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
Description of the constituent elements of transport infrastructure of road, railway, air and water transport. Application of the acquired knowledge in the process of planning a particular transport mode and the relevant traffic route. Explanation of the relationship between means of transport and transport infrastructure.

Summary
The subject deals with the basic elements of the transport infrastructure. Particular attention is paid to roads (i.e. motorways, roads, municipal roads etc.), tracks (railways, metro and tramways), airport structures and water transport constructions.

Participation in lessons of at least 70%, absence must be excused and the excuse must be accepted by the teacher. Submission of all individual tasks assigned to the independent work of the student by the deadline and in the prescribed form.

3. Intersections – types, basic design principles.
4. Intersections – capacity assessment and micro simulation model of simple intersection.
5. Railway structures – types of railway lines.
6. Structural and geometrical track layout. Spatial layout of the track.
7. Railway track and substructure.
8. Railway stations.
9. Railways transport in cities.
10. Airports and airfields – types, technical characteristics.
11. Runways. Airport facilities.
12. Water transport infrastructure. Technical parameters of watercourses.
13. Ports and facilities of water transport infrastructure.
14. Transport infrastructure in logistics.
