Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Understaning of basic equations of structural vibrations. Ability to create an adequate computational model for given problem. Ability to understand how to include different types of loads into solution. Ability to prepare computational equations for systems with general degrees of freedom.

Principles of structural dynamics. Methods for solution of structural vibrations. Analytical and numerical methods, experimental esting.

Subject syllabus:

1. Basic dynamics equation. 2. Classical problems of dynamics. 3. Use of finite element method. 4. Derivation of stiffness matrix. 5. Damping analysisi. 6. Types of problems, eigenproblem. 7. Harmonic analysis. 8. Transient problems. 9. Integration of dynamics equations. 10. Experimental methods in dynamics.
