Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The student will acquire basic knowledge and skills in the field of thermal engineering and energy evaluation of buildings. They will learn to assess building structures and buildings according to the thermal and energy requirements of applicable legislation in the field. Can solve computational tasks using special software. The student will gain the ability to design and assess thermal technical requirements for building structures and energy label for a family house, to design appropriate energy saving measures with regard to economic return. They will get acquainted with the principles of determining the energy performance certificate of buildings.

Summary
The course deals with building thermal engineering and energy of buildings. Students will get acquainted with the calculation methods for determining and assessing the thermal technical properties of building structures and their details, with the calculation of heat losses and the energy label of the building envelope. They will also be acquainted with the principles of evaluating the energy performance of buildings, determining the energy certificate of building, with proposals for energy saving measures.

Current legislation in the field of thermal protection of buildings and energy performance of buildings.

Other requirements
At least 70% attendance at the exercises. Absence, up to a maximum of 30%, must be excused and the apology must be accepted by the teacher (the teacher decides to recognize the reason for the excuse).
Tasks assigned on the exercises must be hand in within the dates set by the teacher.
