Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim is to gain knowledge in the proper design of buildings in terms of their thermal characteristics, the principle of calculating heat losses. Students will be able to suggest suitable radiators and choosemost suitable heating source . Students also acquire knowledge in the use of energy resources.

Summary

The course gives comprehensive information about the climate of cities, settlements and buildings, hydraulics, piping, heat exchange, the internal climate of buildings, space heating, heating systems, domestic sources of heating, ventilation. The course deepens the knowledge of the energy performance of buildings and introduces new technologies, the use of unconventional energy sources.
