Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students will deepen their knowledge and skills in the construction of thermal techniques, learn to deal with practical examples of numerical modeling of critical structural details in terms of heat and humidity effects, computer simulation of thermal properties of building structures and buildings.

Summary

Choice problems of the thermal protectin of buildings. Practical numerical modelling of hygro-thermal effects and computer simulation. Hygro-thermal static modelling of critical building details by means of two (three)-dimensional temperature field. Energy performance of buildings. Calculation of energy use for space heating. Practical checking of the thermal-technical characteristics with form of measuring in situ.

At least 70% attendance at the exercises. Absence, up to a maximum of 30%, must be excused and the apology must be accepted by the teacher (the teacher decides to recognize the reason for the excuse). Tasks assigned on the exercises must be hand in within the dates set by the teacher.
