Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students will acquire basic knowledge of building acoustics and daylighting of buildings and sunshine. After completing the course the student is able to solve basic acoustic task, in particular the assessment of acoustic properties of building structures. It can calculate and assess daylight and sunshine buildings.

Summary

Part Acoustics deals with - the sound spread in the environment, spatial acoustics, buildings - air and impact sound insulation. Part daylighting deals with - natural light in buildings, the basic requirements for daylighting, daylight factor calculations, sunshine in residential buildings.
