Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of this course is to deepen students' practical skills in the field of building thermal technology . Practical exercises will include - temperature, humidity and flow of indoor and outdoor air , surface temperature measurements of structures of contact and non-contact manner , thermal measurement and design details of buildings , measurement of heat flow through the building structure , temperature and humidity within the building structure and the soil measuring the thermal load of the interior , measuring CO2 building interiors . Students will learn how to process and evaluate the measured data. Measurements will be conducted on actual structures in the experimental passive object timber, which will be used as a laboratory HVAC and building environment . The amount of built-in sensors in building construction and in the soil will allow students to monitor and evaluate the behavior of a passive object timber construction throughout the year .

Summary

The course focuses on enhancing the practical knowledge and skills of students in the building thermal technology and indoor environment. Emphasis is placed on learning the way of technical solutions and measurement of physical quantities in the field of building technology and thermal indoor environment.

At least 70% attendance at the exercises. Absence, up to a maximum of 30%, must be excused and the apology must be accepted by the teacher (the teacher decides to recognize the reason for the excuse). Tasks assigned on the exercises must be hand in within the dates set by the teacher.
