Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

This is an introductory course in statistics. The aim is to understand of statistical methods for data analysis. Students will be able to interpret results of basic statistical analysis in a selected statistical software. The theory behind statistical tools and procedures will be described as well. Lectures will be in English. It is necessary to complete Mathematics 1 and Mathematics 2 courses or their equivalents.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

Course-credit -participation on tutorials is obligatory, 20% of absence can be apologized, -elaborate one program - statistical data analysis -pass the written tests, Point classification: 5-20 points. Exam Practical part of an exam is classified by 0 - 60 points. Practical part is successful if student obtains at least 25 points. Theoretical part of the exam is classified by 0 - 20 points.
