Student should learn elementary procedures and methods using at problem solution of material science. To make sure of lectured topic understanding. To apply gained knowledge in practise.

Summary

The subject familiaries students with an elementary kowledge about qualities and structure of moust common constructional materials. Topic of lectures is explanation of atomic laws and molecular structure and constitution of crystals and amorphous materials respectively. As well as explanation of stress-strain relations and degratiation process.

Mandatory attendence participation: The knowledge of students is continuously verified during each lesson in the form of discussion and questions with the aim of actively involving students in the lecture. Students elaborate a programs according to an individual assignment and present its results. Students' knowledge is verified at the end of the semester by a written test and an oral exam.

Conditions for subject completion and attendance at the exercises within ISP: In order to complete the credit, students must submit semestral works and successfully pass the credit test. On the basis of a successfully completed credit, they can take an exam, which will consist of a written and an oral part.
