Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students receive basic infromation of STATICS, KINEMATICS, DYNAMICS. The problematic is explaining having regards to safety of construction, safety with transport, manipulation and so on.

Summary

The subject will make students acquainted with the basis of engineering applications and computational methods of mechanics of rigid body and rigid body systems. For pedagogical reasons, statics, kinematics and dynamics is discussed separately. Students train logical engineering thinking. The main aid is to simplify the view on a mechanical system. The concepts of equilibrium during both static state and movement and principles of making free body diagrams of bodies and body systems will become the main elements of this thinking. Very important is to elucidate the basic concepts of engineering mechanics for being able to communicate easily with mechanical engineers in practice.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

Studenti odevzdají zadaný program, ve kterém jsou řešeny praktické aplikace základních problémů vyučovaných v předmětu Technická mechanika. Zkouška sestává ze dvou částí. Část písemná (4 příklady) a část teroretická. Každá část je hodnocena samostatně.

Conditions for subject completion and attendance at the exercises within ISP: In order to comlpete the credit, students submit term written paper. The materials for the semester work will be arranged with the teacher. On the basis of a successfully completed credit, they can take an exam, which will consist of a written and an oral part.
