Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Knowledge The students will achieve the theoretical knowledge in the area of the vibration of mechanical systems. Comprehension The students will understand the basic regularities and internal rules of the kinematic and dynamic behavior of the vibrating mechanical systems. Application The students will be able to apply the achieved knowledge to the solution of the technical problems. Analysis The students will learn to analyze the mechanical system condition from the vibration appearance and assessment point of view. Synthesis The students will learn to suggest the changes and adaptations of the mechanical systems with aim to change and optimize their vibrational characteristics. Evaluation The students will learn to evaluate and assess the mechanical system properties from the vibration appearance point of view and also to choose the optimal solution variants.

Summary

The module enlarges knowledge about linear vibrations of one degree of freedom linear systems, obtained during master degree studium. The major topics of this module are linear vibration of multi degree of freedom systems, vibration of continuum and stochastic and nonlinear vibration of one degree of freedom systems.
