Ensure understanding of the disscused topics. To teach students to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge in design practice.

At the end of the course students should be able to:
- define the term
- landscapes and architecture, still life, documentary and reportage in photography
- clarify the relationship between learning objectives and learning tasks
- explain the importance of learning tasks for the pupil and for the teacher's work,
The aim of the seminar is mainly to master basic photographic disciplines.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester
Credit in the form of written test (min. 70%), active participation in lessons (min. 80%), regular homework, elaboration of assigned tasks.

Subject syllabus:
1. Úvod, výklad úloh
2. Seznámení s přístroji, laboratořemi, školení bezpečnosti práce
Samostatná práce (formou plnění zadání jednotlivých úloh) na úkolech základních fotografických disciplín a úkolech založených na technice fotografie:
3. Krajina a architektura
4. Dokumentární a reportážní fotografie
5. Základy barevné kompozice ve fotografii,
6. Aranžované zátiší v atelieru při stálém osvětlení, bílá na bílé
7. Portrét při stálém osvětlení v atelieru
8. Technická úloha na ověření vlastnosti WB u digitálního obrazu
9–10. Vyvolání kinofilmu a svitkového filmu
11–12. Zhotovení č/b fotografie z kinofilmu a svitkového filmu
13. Základní úpravy digitálního obrazu na PC.
14. Závěrečné hodnocení výsledků jednotlivých úkolů formou společné prezentace
V převážné míře je využíváno digitálních zrcadlovek, některé úlohy jsou realizovány ale i klasickou zrcadlovkou na kinofilm a svitek.
