Teaching methods

Summary

The module deals with the identification of dynamical properties of mechanical structures using experimental modal analysis method. Student will become acquaintant with instrumentation and software used in modal testing, with preparation of a modal test, with methods of frequency response functions measurement and with methods of extracting modal parameters from the measured data. They will also learn, how to use the experimentally derived modal parameters for computational models updating.

Subject syllabus:

1. Teoretické základy – základní pojmy, druhy tlumení, pojem modální analýzy 2. Experimentální určování frekvenčních přenosů – základy teorie náhodných procesů, budící účinky, ovlivnění signálů vstupními obvody, příprava měření, měřicí zařízení 3. Určování modálních parametrů – znázorňování frekvenčního přenosu, regrese, kontrolní syntéza 4. Využití modálních modelů – grafická interpretace, strukturální modifikace, modelování odezev, identifikace budících silových účinků 5. Strukturální stroboskopie.
