Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the subject is the students' ability to read and translate technical texts from English to Czech, to understand the text and to present its content both in Czech and in English. Further, students should be able to speak about topics concerning their study field and to present their work in English.

Summary

The subject is intended mainly for the students of "Applied mechanics". Merits of the subject are reading and translation of technical texts, especially from the field of computational and experimental applied mechanics. Students may put the finishing touches to the subject by selecting the texts. This subject is not dedicated for students with native language different from czech or slovak respectively!

1. Reading and translation of various texts in group. 2. Translation of an individually selected text and its presentation. 3. Presentation concerning bachelor's thesis.
