Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Knowledge The deeper theoretical knowledge in the area of analysis and synthesis of mechanisms. Understanding The students will understand the fundamental regularities and internal rules of the kinematic and dynamic behavior of the mechanisms. Applications The students will be able to apply the getting knowledge to solving the particular technical problems in mechanics. Analysis The students will be able to analyze the mechanical structures and their dynamic behavior and power transfer.

Summary

The module deals with the parameters that determine basic properties of mechanisms and machines and how to obtain these parameters. It enlarges knowledge in kinematics and dynamics of systems and in mathematics modelling of them.

Subject syllabus:

The modelling of the machines and machine parts. The dynamic impacts of the machines and determination of their basic parameters. The modelling of the rigid body structures. The equation of motion of the mechanism. The modelling of the rigid body structures with flexible and damping capabilities. The methods of the dynamic synthesis and optimization. The fundaments of the dynamics of driving mechanisms. The dynamics of the gear mechanisms. The machine and machine parts noise.
