Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students will learn the basic concepts of fluid mechanisms, the composition of hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, basic hydraulic and pneumatic components, their functions, structures, characteristics, using in circuits. Based on this knowledge to understand the basic function of hydraulic circuits. They know how to solve simple examples from the analysis of hydraulic circuits the steady state, and simple cases starting material with hydraulic drive loads. They will learn to design simple hydraulic and pneumatic circuits and compile them on praktikátorech in the laboratory. Get acquainted with the most widespread applications of hydraulic actuators for machinery and equipment in industry, transport and other areas of human activity. They can compare advantages and disadvantages of different types of drives and select the optimal type of drive.

Summary

Students will become familiar with the function, structure, properties and applications of hydraulic actuators and mechanisms. The course is divided into the following sections: general introduction, the basic mechanisms of fluid calculations, the elements of fluid machinery (pumps, motors, controls, accessories circuits, working fluid), function, structure, characteristics, elements and their use in circuits, hydraulic and pneumatic actuators and transfers, including management, application of fluid mechanisms. The exercise is focused on the mechanisms of hydraulic calculations and laboratory measurements.

Subject syllabus:

Outline of lectures 1 Introduction to the subject. Basic concepts: liquid mechanism, a hydraulic mechanism, a hydraulic actuator. Hydraulic circuit: structure, function, functional diagram. Graphical symbols of elements. Basic hydraulic circuits: open and closed circuits. 2 Basic hydraulic circuits: Circuits for deriving linear motion and rotary motion. Basic ways to control the speed of movement: gradual, changing the geometric volume of the pump, valves (butterfly valves). The working fluid of hydraulic circuits: mineral oil, water and water emulsion. Properties of working fluids: viscosity, compressibility, lubricity, non-corrosive effect, thermo-oxidative stability, flame resistance, environmental friendliness. 3 Hydrostatic transmitters: definition, classification, characteristic parameters and their mutual relations. Efficiency. Static characteristics. 4 Hydrostatic rotary converters: structure, functions, parameters, usage. Control of the geometric volume of hydrostatic transmitters. 5-turn motors. Linear motors. Seals in hydraulics. Multipliers pressure. Hydraulic power packs. 6 Distributors, one-way valves, controlled one-way valves, two-way hydraulic lock, shut-off valves. 7 Butterfly valves. Flow control valves. Pressure valves. 8 Hydraulic accumulators and their use in circuits. Filters and filtration of liquids. 9 Proportional technology. Servo technology. 10 pipes, hoses, fittings: the calculation of pressure losses in pipes. Pressure losses hydraulic components and fittings. Thermal hydraulic calculation circuit. 11 Hydraulic actuators: drive structure, steady-state drive, the operating point of the drive. 12 Starting and stopping the drive. Control of hydraulic actuators: control variable resistor (valve). 13 Hydrostatic transmission. 14 Raising and lowering material load. Circuits with two or more motors. Synchronous motors running. Outline training and seminars Week of Practice and seminars 1Repeating a fundamental relations of fluid mechanics (in fluid pressure, Bernoulli equation, pressure losses in pipes). 2 Graphical symbols selected hydraulic components. 3 Practice of graphical symbols of elements, the synthesis of simple hydraulic circuits. 4 Basic hydraulic circuits: the demonstration praktikátoru. Program 2: Design and calculation of hydraulic circuit including the efficiency and calculation of pressure losses in the circuit, including the specification of the main elements. Under the program can receive up to 15 points. Seal linear motors: examples. 9 Management hydraulic flow control valves. Design, calculation. Demonstration on praktikátoru. Measurement characteristics of the throttle valve. 10 Design and calculation of power to the battery. 11 hydraulic calculation of pipes: pressure losses in pipes and hoses. 12 Thermal calculation of the hydraulic circuit. 13 Starting and braking power. 14 Credit.
