Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students will become familiar with the methodology of solving master's thesis, the literature search and other documents using the Internet. They will be advised of the correct citation reference in accordance with applicable standards. During the consultations students will obtain accurate information about the assigned topic of the thesis.

Diplomový seminář zahrnuje zpracování literární rešerše k danému tématu diplomové práce. Bude mít formu technické zprávy. Ve vyhodnocení rešerše budou naznačeny možné alternativní způsoby řešení daného diplomového úkolu.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

Studenti si zvolí téma své DP a kontaktují příslušného vedoucího diplomové práce. Vedoucí studentovi předá zadání Diplomového semináře (rešerše, rozbor problematiky, analýza stavu zřízení apod.) v návaznosti na téma DP. V průběhu semestru se studenti setkávají individuálně se svým vedoucím DP v dohodnutých termínech (minimálně jednou za 14 dnů) a konzultují s ním případné problémy při zpracování literární rešerše a postup při následném řešení DP. Pokud student práci konzultuje převážně u externího konzultanta, má za povinnost alespoň jednou za 14 dnů informovat o postupu vedoucího DP. Nárok na udělení klasifikovaného zápočtu získává student po odevzdání zpracované rešerše k DP nejpozději v posledním týdnu zkouškového období zimního semestru (neurčí-li vedoucí práce jinak). Za každý týden pozdního odevzdání, stejně jako absenci konzultací, může vedoucí DP snížit bodové hodnocení o 5 bodů.

Subject syllabus:

1. Presentation of diploma thesis topics, principles for diploma thesis elaboration.Instructions for choosing the topic of the diploma thesis. 2. Instructions for elaboration of the search, electronic sources (Knovel, Springer link ...), citation of literature according to the ISO 690 standard. 3 - 14. Work on the research for the diploma thesis, consultations with the thesis supervisor.
