Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Course objectives are: - Deepen understanding of the physical properties of liquids, - More details to master the problems of fluid flow, - Is analyzed in detail the operational properties of liquids, such as lubricating ability of liquids, thermo-oxidative stability, flame resistance, foaming, etc.

Summary

Obsahem předmětu je seznámit se podrobně s vybranými vlastnostmi kapalin, se zaměřením na kapaliny používané v hydraulických systémech. Probírají se postupně fyzikální vlastnosti kapalin (viskozita, stlačitelnost atd.), chemické vlastnosti (termooxidační stálost, korozivní působení na kovy, agresivita vůči pryžím a plastům), reologické vlastnosti, provozní vlastnosti (mazací schopnost apod.) a ekologické vlastnosti. Dále se studenti podrobně seznámí s jednotlivými druhy kapalin, jako jsou zejména: voda, minerální oleje, těžkozápalné kapaliny, ekologicky šetrné kapaliny.

Subject syllabus:

1st Physical properties of liquids 2nd Chemical properties of liquids 3rd Operating properties of liquids: lubricity, termooxidative resistance, foaming effect of air in the liquid, cavitation, demulsifying properties. 4th Rheological properties of fluids: fundamentals of rheology, rheogram (flow curve) of non-Newtonian fluids, plasticity, dilatation, thixotropy, reopexie, rheological behavior of non-Newtonian fluid models. Rheological properties greases. Rheometry. 5th Ecological properties of liquids 6th Types of fluids: water, mineral oils, vegetable oils, synthetic liquids, emulsions, greases.
