Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
Students learn the principles of fluid mechanics and their applications to one-dimensional piping systems, will also be able to specify the hydrodynamic pump in hydraulic circuits to solve unsteady flow and water hammer in the pipe system.

Basic equations of fluid flow, the derivation of the Bernoulli equation for ideal and real fluids
Theory of machines for the transport of fluids: hydrodynamic pumps, specific energy, efficiency, Euler's equation, losses in the pump characteristics, suction lift, pump when changing speed, collaboration of pumps, measurement of pumps, pumps gas special, air-lift pump, jet pumps, their application in fire technique and efficiency characteristics.
Pipes and pipelines, local and friction loss, pipeline networks and leg
circuit, algorithm of calculation, method of Hardy-Cross.
Water hammer and unsteady flow, mathematical model and its solution.
Drain device, theory of centrifugal nozzle, and its ability to spray.
Basic theory of SHZ.
