Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

In this course, students will extend their knowledge of flow modeling of fluid and fluid mixtures and will be able to apply them to extended problems with consideration of chemical reactions, heat transfer, radiation, as well as multi-phase flow and particle flow (solid, liquid, gaseous). discrete phase. The time-dependent solution using FFT methods is used to analyze the phenomena of turbulence and cavitation. The methodology will allow you to examine the design of the device using optimization. The scope of the course will be determined in accordance with the topic of the dissertation.

Summary

The course deals with mathematical models of laminar and turbulent fluid flow with heat transfer, chemical reactions, multiphase models, time-dependent problems using FFT, constructional solutions with optimization. The software ANSYS Fluent resp. CFX using finite volume methods. The above theoretical models can be used in specific applications and general geometry.
