Stabilita přímých prutů,základní rovnice a jejich rozbor. Vlivy působící na velikost kritické síly. Stabilita neprizmatických tyčí. Stabilita vinutých válcových pružin. Stabilita tenkých desek. Stabilita kruhových oblouků a prstenců zatížených vnějším přetlakem.Přibližné metody řešení stability.Metoda počátečních parametrů a přenosových matic.
