To teach students the basic procedures for solving some technical problems of the continuum mechanics. To learn our students to apply of theoretical knowledge in praxis.

Závěrečná práce zadávána individuálně, vychází z potřeb praxe nebo řeší aktuální problematiku řešenou na katedře. Témata vypisují katedry 339 a 337. Závěrečná práce je co do formy zpracovávána podle jednotných pokynů, vydaných vedením Fakulty strojní.
