Summary
Limit states of elastic, plastic, creep and fatigue straining. Effective stress
and strain, referential shear and normal stresses. Elastic to plastic
transition and its criterion. Plastic fracture criteria. Brittle fracture,
Griffith criterion, Kc modes, transition temperature. Creep of metals - Hoff's
analogy, constitutive equations, stress relaxation, cumulating of defects,
breakdown. Fatigue of materials. Initialization of cracks, their develop
Basqin's, Manson&Coffin's, Paris laws. Cumulating of defects, decomposition of
fatigue cycles. Mean stress effect, Haigh's and Smith's diagrams.
