Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The goal is to gain basic knowledge of conceptual design work in machine designer awareness of the impact on functionality, cost effectiveness, operational reliability and environmental friendliness constructed facilities.

Summary

Students will learn how to apply the knowledge acquired in the theoretical subjects in the area of foundations of mechanics, basic calculations of machine parts and foundations of elasticity and strength. In the introduction they will be acquainted with foundations of design methodology, machine design and technical structure dimensioning. They will learn how to analyse conditions of forces acting on machines and constructions due to technological introduction. They will deepen their knowledge of design of major multi- component parts of machines and calculation techniques used.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

Exercise: In the mid-term "Semester work," At the end of "Test". The basis for obtaining credit is 80% attendance at seminars, working out a semester of work and successful management of the test. Education: Throughout the course of random checks on calculations from basic training. The test consists of a written part (two questions) and oral part.

Week lectures 1. Basic laws of machine design (machine as a dedicated system and its function) 2. Analysis of force ratios in technical objects 3. Technological aspects of construction (in relation to production technology) 4. Breakdown of manufacturing machines 5. Drives and their dynamics (basic drives and distribution conditions of their election) 6. Pneumatic and hydraulic actuators (description, characteristics) 7. Electric and internal combustion engines (description, characteristics) 8. Motor protection insurance couplings 9. The design of hydraulic systems 10. Specifics of linear actuators 11. Designing power units (engine system, clutch, gearbox) 12. Designing power units (engine system, clutch, gearbox and brake) 13. Calculation of technical capacity and performance tools and principles of its sizing 14. The focus of mobile machinery, static and dynamic stability Week of Practice and seminars 1. Flow chart of the machine - examples 2. Analysis of the stress range of different tools - examples 3. Controlled drives - examples 4. Calculation of linear pneumatic and hydraulic motors 5.
