Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
Students received knowledge with 3D modeling, 2D drafting in the CAD/CAM/ CAE system Catia V5. There is possibility to use knowledge for solve work in design area.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester
During the semester are rated solved examples.
The activity of the solution nebodovaných examples are taken into account in credit.
The final evaluation for accreditation is the emphasis on passing a practical example on the PC
and submission of term project.

Subject syllabus:
1. CATIA CAD / CAM / CAE environment - basic concepts, mouse control,
2. Module concepts, workbeans, their characteristics.
3. Modeling of components in the Mechanical Design - Part Design environment.
4. Commands to Create Profiles - Sketcher.
5. Fundamentals of surface creation and editing, use of spline curves for surface creation.
6. Creating reports, entering and editing links.
7. Basics of design in engineering.
8. Elements of ergonomics for the construction of machine units.
9. Use of Human Builder.
10. Creating 2D Drawing Documentation from a 3D Model.
11. Cutting, editing the drawing field.
12. Creation of reports, binding between components - creation of drawing documentation, BOM.
13. The use of materials rendering,
14. Visualization and Animation in CATIA CAD / CAM / CAE for Product Presentation.
