Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
In this course, students will gain basic practical experience with the CAD/CAM/CAE software Autodesk Fusion and CATIA V5.

Summary
The course is focused on acquiring basic knowledge and practical skills in 3D modeling for industrial design. Students will learn the basics of solid, surface, and freeform modeling in Autodesk Fusion. They will then gain a general introduction to CATIA, which is widely used for advanced engineering applications.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester
During the semester are rated solved examples.
The activity of the solution nebodovaných examples are taken into account in credit.
The final evaluation for accreditation is the emphasis on passing a practical example on the PC
and submission of term project.

Subject syllabus:
1. CATIA CAD/CAM/CAE environment - basic concepts, mouse control, module concepts, workbench.
2. Commands for creating profiles - Sketcher.
3. Creation parts - Part Design.
4. Fundamentals of surface creation and editing, use of spline curves for surface creation.
5. Surface modeling - Wirefreme Surface Design.
6. Modeling more complex surfaces - Generative Shape Design
7. Create Reports, Assign and Edit Bindings - Assemby Design.
6. Basics of engineering design.
7. Application of ergonomics for the construction of machine units.
9. Fundamentals of drawing documentation drawing
10. Creating 2D Drawing Documentation from a 3D Model.
11. Creating cuts, editing the drawing field, creating positions, BOM.
12. Using the Human Builder workbench, Manikin properties.
13. Using materials, creating new material, rendering.
14. Visualization and Animation in CATIA CAD/CAM/CAE for Product Presentation.
