Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Obtaining of advanced knowledge in the CAD system CATIA. Obtaining of advanced practical experience in the CAD system CATIA Utilization of FPart Design a Assembly Design for the designer's work Application of knowledge to solve a specific design task.

Tutorials

Summary

The course is taught in collaboration with Varroc Lighting Systems, Ltd. Company employees are directly involved in teaching. Students will gain knowledge of 3D modeling of parts, assignment of tasks in the exercises are chosen from practice. Students will deepen the foundations of parametric 3D modeling of both components and assemblies. Students solve creating assemblies, including the creation of 3D drawings from the model.

Additional study materials

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

During the semester, students solve examples procedures. Teaching materials and instructions are accessible on the LMS. In the final evaluation, emphasis is placed on completion of all assigned practical tasks on the PC. Projects - tasks must be prepared based on the requirements of the tutor and contain the relevant particulars. Student solves three tasks rated 33, 33 and 34 points.

Subject syllabus:

3D modeling of parts in CAD / CAM / CAE system CATIA. The module Generative Shape Desiagn for the automotive industry 3D assembly modeling in CAD / CAM / CAE system CATIA. Modelling of surface elements. Creating drawings from 3D part model. Creating drawings from the 3D assembly model. Use of material, visualization, rendering. Transferring data between applications. Drawing documentation in an environment of CAD / CAM / CAE system CATIA.
