Elaboration of semestral project. The exam consists of a written and an oral part. Students draw two questions.

Subject syllabus:
1. Importance and mission of renovation, types of wear, corrosion, renovation of worn parts.
2. Renovation to the original and repair dimension.
3. Welding of worn surfaces of components, choice of welding material.
4. Manual flame welding and electric arc welding.
5. Flame-powder welding, electric arc welding under flux, electroslag welding.
6. Electrovibration welding, resistance welding and surfacing.
7. MIG, MAG, TIG welding and welding systems.
8. Metallization, electrolytic and chemical plating.
9. Renovation of components by plastic deformation, mechanical renovation and local heating.
10. Renovation of components by applying polyamides.
11. Repairs of components by welding, carbon equivalent, difficult to weld materials.
12. Repairs of components by soldering.
13. Pinning, delimitation and repair of cracks, repairs of components by Metalock and Masterlock method.
14. Sealing cracks by gluing and sealing, modern renovation technologies.
