Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The acquisition of knowledge concerning the methods of operational reliability. Mathematical modeling component life (time to failure). Determining stock.

Summary

Students will get acquainted with basic concepts in the field of operational reliability, mathematical methods for determining and evaluating operational reliability, probability theory. Furthermore, they will gain knowledge about the residual life of machine parts and the application of cumulative damage hypotheses.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

Elaboration of semestral project. The exam consists of a written and an oral part. Students will draw a total of two questions for two different topics.

Program processing in SW Excel on the topic of Weibull distribution for random variables. Verification of linear regression results also in analytical form.

Subject syllabus:

1. Reliability features, characteristics and uses. 2. Object tracking, quality engineering products. 3. Utility of the product and its relationship to quality. 4. Reliability engineering products. 5. Phenomena and product. 6. Classification of failures. 7. Wear and its impact on reliability. 8. Characteristics of indicators of the technical condition. 9. Basic types of mechanical systems in relation to failure. 10. Optimization solutions, restoration of functional areas. 11. Introduction to the life of the machines. 12. Life in relation to the material used. 13. Methods of mechanical part of the solution. 14. Residual life.
