Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The goal is to learn the basic measurement methods and their application in industry, the principles of in situ measurements in the laboratory, using measuring chains, evaluation measurements and determination of measurement uncertainties.

Summary

Students will be provided with the fundamentals of measurement in situ, selection of measuring elements and instruments, principles of objective results of measurement. They will acquaint themselves with specific examples of measurement. They will learn how to evaluate the measurement and how to process measurement errors.

1st Objective measurements, units of measurement, measuring methods 2nd Measuring instruments - classification, properties 3rd Sensors and their physical principle 4th force measurement 5th Torque Measurement 6th Measuring fluid pressure 7th flow Measurement 8th temperature measurement 9th Measuring the frequency of rotation 10th performance Measurement 11th measurement errors 12th measuring chain 13th The statistical methods used for evaluation of measurement 14th Measurement protocols.
